History

Now entering our 20th year, key moments in our history include:

20th December 1996 - Incorporation of Hamilton following Robert Storton & Martin Gibbins working jointly on a project and realising the potential to build a business for themselves, securing their first order the next day.

January 1997 - Opened first office in Bradford with desk space for 3 people

December 1997 - Year one Turnover £350k

December 1998 - First Annual Turnover in excess of £1m

September 2008 - Opened regional offices in Nottingham, Oxford, Luton & Birmingham

August 2009 - Having outgrown existing Head Office, moved into larger premises to accommodate growing workforce

December 2010 - Turnover increased to £5m

February 2012 - Moved again to present Head Office address in Bradford due to increased central administrative requirements

December 2012 - Through CESP obligation (2009-2012) delivered external wall insulation and other energy saving measures to over 12,500 properties in the UK, cementing Hamilton's position as one of the leading installers

December 2012 - Turnover exceeds £20m, setting the benchmark to the present day

March 2013 - Hamilton were awarded the largest single CESP Early Mitigation Scheme in December 2012 to deliver EWI plus heating, draught proofing, loft insulation and other measures into 1,179 properties across 3 sites in the UK, all within 3.5 months

March 2013 - Energy Company Obligation (ECO) launches, with Hamilton at the forefront of delivering EWI thanks to experience gained through CESP and strong funding links established

November 2013 - Opened Maidstone Regional Office and additional 5,000sqft warehouse & offices adjacent to Head Office in Bradford

December 2014 - Utilised ECO funding to provide EWI to over 4,500 properties across the UK

February 2015 - North West regional office opened in Bolton to expand Commercial Team

July 2015 - Green Deal Home Improvement Funding closed with Hamilton's having delivered EWI to over 450 properties using GDHIF in combination with Green Deal Finance over the course of the scheme

July 2016 - Running from July 2015 to July 2016 - DECC funded Green Deal Community Schemes reached closure with Hamilton having been involved in the delivery of 8 of the schemes around the country from the South coast to Yorkshire installing EWI to more than 1,111 properties

December 2016 - Preparations underway to enter our 20th year in business with a strong pipeline of work to take us into 2017

 

During the course of our business growth, we have also established our own development company, Hamilton Greener Homes, which designs, develops and builds highly energy efficient homes for the private market. From this we are able to take our in-depth knowledge of construction into the retrofit market, ensuring the best solution is designed for our Clients and installed to the highest possible standards.
