A year ago we completed works on Bowland House in Blackburn, so now seems a good time to look back at the before and after!
Bowland House was one of three tower blocks built in 1963 and the only one still standing after the others were replaced by homes.
We were commissioned by main contractor, Casey Group, to help revitalise the tired looking building on behalf of Great Places Housing Group and Blackburn with Darwen Council. Improving the insulation of the external walls was a key part of the project.
Hamilton’s team installed the Wetherby Building Systems 80mm mineral fibre insulation with a clay brick slip finish to the ground floor and a 70mm mineral fibre insulation with a 1.5mm 4S silicone finish above.
We’re sure you’ll agree that is has made a huge difference to the Blackburn skyline – you can read more on our case study page by clicking here.
