EWI removal and replacement
Hamilton’s years of experience and commitment to client satisfaction was demonstrated in full when it came to removing and replacing EWI on four 13-storey high rise blocks in the centre of Birmingham for Family Optima (part of the WM Housing Group).
Not only did we carry out the work on this project to the promised high standard, we also secured £150,000 of ECO Funding towards the scheme.
The work included; the removal and disposal of a failed Heavy Duty Expolath EWI System from all four tower blocks while residents were still in occupation; structural engineers reports and associated repairs; building control management and applications; balcony curtain walling overhauls and repairs; window overhauls and repairs; design, supply and installation of a new EWI system to all blocks; design, supply and installation of window pods and flashings and sills; design, supply and installation of replacement parapet cappings to all blocks; and supply of 25-year SWIGA insurance-backed warranties for all blocks.
We first met with the Hamilton Management Team in June 2016 when they attended a contractor interview to replace failed EWI render systems on four of our tower blocks near the centre of Birmingham. They impressed us straight away with their knowledge, passion and attention to detail and since the work started, they have been first class and come through on all their promises made pre-contract. They work hard to give the client the very best service and are honest and straight forward to deal with, we were right to appoint Hamilton to the contract and would not hesitate in working with them again in the future.
