Maes Abereistedd

Located in the coastal town of Criccieth, Hamilton recently completed an External Wall Insulation (EWI) project on a four-storey block of flats at Maes Abereistedd.

Commissioned by Grwp Cynefin, with Novus Solutions as the main contractor, the project involved the installation of the Saint-Gobain Weber’s webertherm XP scraped system. Hamilton played a key role as the subcontractor in delivering a seamless and durable insulation solution for this distinctive seaside development.

Commencing in July 2024, the project spanned three months, concluding in October. Situated only 15 metres from the coastline, the team faced the significant challenge of navigating coastal weather conditions, which directly impacted the timing and methods of system application.

However, with meticulous planning and organisation, Hamilton successfully mitigated these challenges, ensuring timely completion without compromising quality. Barry Clark, Hamilton’s Contracts Director, led a dedicated team of 10 on-site.

Their expertise was consistently praised by Stephen Entwistle, Contracts Manager at Novus Solutions:

I want to extend my thanks to everyone involved in making this project a reality. It was a pleasure to be part of it. Special thanks to the Hamilton operatives, who were a joy to work with. Their professionalism and commitment to high-quality work truly stood out. I hope to have the opportunity to work with Hamilton again in the future.

The newly finished building complements its seaside setting beautifully, featuring a fresh white and blue exterior that echoes the coastal landscape.

This project is a testament to Hamilton’s adaptability and professionalism, demonstrating their commitment to high standards in even the most challenging environments.
