Seaton Point is the tallest building in Hackney and the last remaining tower from the once six-strong Nightingale Estate.
As a prominent local landmark, its refurbishment has been a significant project for Hackney City Council.
Working under main contractor EQUANS and in collaboration with Wetherby Wall Systems, Hamilton was appointed to deliver the removal of the existing external wall insulation and install a new A2-rated Wetherby EWI system.
Our team played a vital role in ensuring the updated façade met the latest safety and fire regulations, while also enhancing the thermal efficiency and visual appeal of the building.
Over 40 operatives contributed throughout the project, demonstrating Hamilton’s capacity to manage large-scale, high-rise works with professionalism and attention to detail.
Dave Wylde, Senior Contracts Manager commented:
This project was all about delivering a visually striking and compliant finish to a key landmark in Hackney. The team did a fantastic job in bringing new life to the building while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Angel Topalov, Site Manager added:
Working on such a tall and iconic building presented challenges, but we’re proud of the transformation and the quality we’ve achieved here.
The finished result is a standout example of Hamilton’s capabilities in delivering technically complex refurbishments. Seaton Point now boasts a clean, modern appearance, transforming the skyline and preserving a key piece of Hackney’s architectural history.
