Hamilton has recently commenced a significant project at Lewisham Park Towers in partnership with Axis Europe, on behalf of L&Q. This initiative focuses on enhancing the living conditions of residents while delivering sustainability benefits through innovative energy efficiency solutions.
The project involves implementing the Soltherm External Wall Insulation (EWI) system across three 18-storey tower blocks. The installation will feature both silicone render and brick-slip finishes, creating a modern and sustainable exterior. The project is valued at £5.5 million and is part-funded by the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund. It is also fully compliant with PAS2030:2023 standards, ensuring that every aspect of the work meets the latest energy efficiency regulations.
Our team is fully mobilised on-site, with over 60 skilled operatives, including 3 full time Site Managers, 12 labourers, and a dedicated Project Manager overseeing daily operations. The project will be backed by a 25-year insurance guarantee from SWIGA, reinforcing our commitment to delivering long-term value and peace of mind to residents.
In addition to the new EWI system, these blocks have had structural works, new aluminium doors and windows and are being re-roofed. These milestones being met have paved the way for the full roll-out of the Soltherm EWI system, which is crucial to improving thermal efficiency and reducing energy consumption for residents.
Leonard Stoian, Site Manager at Hamilton, shared his thoughts on the project’s early success:
After the initial phase and the last two weeks, we have made over 25% progress on the EWI installation, inspections by Soltherm confirm the high standard of the installation. Our skilled team has worked efficiently to stay on schedule while minimising public disruption for the residents. Exceeding expectations, we have now kicked off with the first stage of base coat, and we look forward to continuing this momentum and delivering outstanding results for everyone involved.
As we move forward, Hamilton remains committed to achieving the highest standards and maintaining a strong focus on residents’ needs. We are excited about the next stages of the project and are working diligently to meet our 2025 completion target.
Stay tuned for further updates as we progress!
