Supporting Wellbeing

As Stress Awareness Month begins, it’s an opportune time to reflect on the ways in which we prioritise the wellbeing of our team here at Hamilton. We understand that our greatest asset is our people, and nurturing their mental and physical health is paramount to their success and happiness in the workplace.

Here are some of the ways we have been supporting our teams wellbeing.

1. Open Channels for Feedback:
Here at Hamilton we value the voices of our employees, and the presence of a suggestion box demonstrates our commitment to listening and acting upon feedback. This open channel encourages team members to express their thoughts, concerns and ideas, encouraging a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

2. Mental Health Support:
In acknowledgment of the importance of mental health, we ensure that every site receives regular visits from a trained mental health first aider. This proactive approach ensures that employees have access to support and resources when needed, breaking down stigma and promoting a culture of care and understanding.

3. Stress/Mental Health Councilling:
Hamilton offers free stress and mental wellbeing counselling services for all employees through Sage employee benefits. This resource provides confidential support to employees who may be struggling with stress, anxiety or other mental health challenges. By offering this service, we aim to ensure that every member of our team has access to professional assistance and guidance to navigate their mental health concerns effectively.

This Stress Awareness Month, let’s continue to prioritise mental and physical health in the workplace, to help create an environment where every team member feels valued and supported.
